An independent documentary about the Motion Picture Association of America's rating system and its effect on American culture, directed by Kirby Dick and produced by Eddie Schmidt. It premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and was released into select theatres on September 1, 2006. The Independent Film Channel, the film's producer, aired the film later that autumn. The MPAA gave the original cut of the film an NC-17 rating for "some graphic sexual content": scenes that illustrated the content a film could include to garner an NC-17 rating. Kirby Dick appealed, and descriptions of the ratings deliberations and appeal were included in the documentary.

Through the globalization and centralization of the "White" media and its constant propagation of repetitive images depicting Caucasians in positive roles and as protagonists while usually depicting Non-Caucasians as background characters and antagonists -- which are often connected to negative themes and stereotypes -- the media elite have been able to effectively condition general society into subconsciously adhering to a racist social hierarchy...

Rock am Ring is an annual 3-day concert that takes place at the Nürburgring racetrack in western Germany at the same time that Rock im Park takes place in and around the Frankenstadion in Nürnberg in southeastern Germany. Both festivals are usually regarded as one event with a mostly identical lineup. Most artists perform one day at Nürburgring and another day at Nürnberg.

German Industrial metal band Rammstein, consisting of Till Lindemann (lead vocals), Richard Z. Kruspe (lead guitar and backing vocals), Paul H. Landers (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Oliver "Ollie" Riedel (bass guitar), Christoph "Doom" Schneider (drums and percussion) and Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboards), performs at Parkbuehne Wuhlheide in Berlin.

A Hong Kong film written and directed by Wong Kar-wai. The film consists of two stories told in sequence, each about a Hong Kong cop and his relationship with a woman. The first story stars Takeshi Kaneshiro and Brigitte Lin and the second stars Tony Leung, Faye Wong and Valerie Chow. Good production values and English subtitles.

A documentary that has filmmakers following the Icelandic band, Sigur Ros, on their travels through their homeland as they reconnect with their roots and play small towns. Sigur Ros is a post-rock band with melodic, classical and minimalist elements. The band is best known for its ethereal sound and lead singer Jónsi’s falsetto voice.
