1995 March 15 Detective Mark Fuhrman, cross-examined by defense attorney F. Lee Bailey, denies using the word "nigger" at any time in the previous ten years. The jury later hears excerpts of audio tapes proving this to be untrue. Fuhrman subsequently refuses to answer questions, citing his Fifth Amendment privilege against self incrimination.
