1912 David Mitford, Lord Redesdale, the father of Unity Mitford, names his family property in Canada: Swastika. His father, Bertram Mitford, had not only written the introduction to Houston Stewart Chamberlain's famous book, The Foundations of the Nineteenth Century, but was also a close, personal friend of the Wagner family.
